Amazon offer a great service to their affiliates allowing them to set up a smaller shop with product categories, descriptions etc.. Just like it would appear on Amazon but only embedded with your affiliate links! There is also a shopping cart so buyers will stay on your site for longer whilst they shop and of course anything they buy, you will take a cut in. Amazon call this "aStore". You can either include the store on the same page as your one on your website or blog even, as a new page or as a stand alone website, with its own domain name.
If you have a website with a fair amount of traffic it is a must have. For example, if you have a site orientated around computer games then you could set up an Amazon aStore with just Games and game consoles. Alternatively, you could set up a niche website with a few articles providing useful information and then a link to your aStore. However, you choose to do it make sure that you site is relevant to the products you are displaying in your aStore.
Another benefit with the amazon astore is that it is completely free to set up. You choose the colours, design, products, categories etc.. You can easily set one up in under 10 minutes. Once you have made it you simply copy and paste the html that Amazon provide onto your site or where neccessary. Probably the most effective way to go about this is to set up a niche website with your shop on it.
